1. Compliance with NGT Guidelines
In strict alignment with the National Green Tribunal's (NGT) environmental orders, all petrol vehicles older than 15 years and diesel vehicles older than 10 years are banned from running on Delhi NCR roads. Cars Scrap Delhi assists vehicle owners in safely recycling these end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) according to legal protocols.
2. Mandatory Scrapping Documents
To process a vehicle for scrap recycling, the owner must submit:
- Original Registration Certificate (RC). If the RC is lost, a copy of the police FIR is mandatory.
- Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or PAN Card) of the registered owner.
- A signed consent form authorizing the RVSF center to dismantle the vehicle.
3. Destruction and Security Controls
To prevent illegal vehicle cloning, our partner RVSF facility cuts out the metallic chassis number plate from the vehicle frame. The chassis plate is photographed and destroyed. The engine block is punctured and crushed, preventing its reuse on other chassis.
4. Certificate of Destruction and Payout
Upon successful dismantling, the vehicle owner receives a Certificate of Deposit (CoD) / Certificate of Destruction. This certificate serves as legal proof of the car's destruction, allowing owners to apply for road tax refunds and utilize government concessions (such as discount vouchers on road tax/registration) when buying a new car.
